Description: During the hot summer months, residents of Edo would often take to the Sumida River in pleasure boats to enjoy the cool air off the river. The Ryogoku Bridge was a center of evening entertainments. In this beautiful evening view, pedestrians along the bridge and boaters watch a spectacular fireworks display over the river. Beautiful, fantastic print subject, a stunning display.
