Makha wood is a rare hardwood which is insect resistant, this wood is hard, heavy and dense and also develops a beautiful patina as it ages which is highly prized for its outstanding finish and highly valued for it’s attractive and luxury-class red wood. To get a large piece of Makha it will take almost a generation. Therefore, large pieces are extremely difficult to come by. Due to the limited wood supply in Thailand, Makha products are normally not made in large quantities, each piece is made by hand and hand-rubbed to enhance the beauty of its unique burled grain.
Here is a wonderful and unique piece of Makha wood with partially finished and unfinished surface, this piece is a very unique and a one of a kind pedestal. Beautifully polished and shaped with a rich natural red tone and unaltered natural curves and color, this is sure to add some brilliance and become a great addition to any home or office.
